Help me out here - I dont get it: I went to mail a package through our trusty US Postal Service. I packaged the item to ship in my own box, using my own label. The USPS wanted to charge me $11.95 to ship this package. OK, a little steep for a $15.00 item. So I was given another option - use one of the priority mail packages, provided by the USPS, and the shipping price drops to $5.95. OK. So, the facts are: Item + I provide packaging = more money to ship Item + packaging provided by USPS = less money to ship And Congress wonders why the Postal Service is always running a deficit budget and close to bankruptcy?
