Help me unwind this. Congress has quickly passed a bill that the President signed that guarantees Federal Employees will get all of their back pay once this shutdown is resolved. So, if you have an unimportant job paid for by taxpayers, you are getting a paid vacation. But, if you have a really important job paid for by taxpayers, you have to keep working especially hard right now while your counterparts are hanging out in bars and enjoying the Fall foliage until this mess is cleaned up. If you work security at an airport, you are busting your butt everyday, if you work security at a National Park, you are on vacation with guaranteed pay. Can anybody help me to understand why this is the one thing every politician in Washington was able to agree on within a matter of hours?
