Help needed in Bolivia. You may have heard that Bolivia is experiencing terrible flooding right now, with devastating consequences for the Tsimane people. Many villages have been destroyed, crops ruined, and people ill and displaced. Hilly Kaplan and Mike Gurvens long term research program, the Tsimane Health and Life History Project researchers are doing their best to deliver direct help to Tsimane villages. The people have very few options for aid and are very remote. They have lost everything. Mike and the THLHP team have folks on the ground who have suspended research to help in any way they can, and they have set up a fund to receive donations to support that. The Tsimane have contributed immensely to science and health research by letting bioanthropologists into their lives.
