Helping the Needy One of the most puzzling formulas that Allah has created is that of the rich and the poor; the rich are given abundantly, while the poor barley make their ends meet. In either case, they are both tested on their fortunes and misfortunes. The rich is tested for thanking Allah for the wealth He bestowed upon him; he is also tested for the manner in which he spends his money and how he helps the less fortunate. The poor is tested for his patience while seeking his sustenance. Even if he does not make ends meet, he should realize that his greatest reward for patience is with Allah; this reward could be that enters paradise before the rich. So my child, should Allah bestows upon you abundant wealth you need to help the needy with all the strength that Allah has given you; and if you could not make ends meet, always be patient and remember that the greatest prize remains with Allah.
