Henry County Schools Community Members, After collecting - TopicsExpress

Henry County Schools Community Members, After collecting reports from various agencies around the county, the discussion shared was that several of the less traveled roads and side roads still have ice and/or condensation that will probably refreeze overnight. The first chance for above-freezing temperatures will not occur until Friday morning. With this in mind, we have decided to keep students at home for one more day. All faculty and staff are asked to report to work Friday, January 31, at 11 a.m. Since students will not be at school, this means all afterschool activities will also be cancelled. Make-up dates and times for activities and meetings can be obtained from your group or teams point of contact. Also, regarding make-up days for students, the time missed to this point will not force us to have to make up the time out from school. However, in the event that more unscheduled time is missed throughout the school year, a decision would be made as to when and how many of those days would need to be covered. Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we work to have a successful school year while keeping students and employees safety at the top of our priority list. With the warmer weather planned for the weekend, we look forward to seeing everyone (faculty, staff, AND STUDENTS) back on Monday, February 3rd. Continue to be safe traveling wherever you go! - HCS
