Here I am in a HOT kitchen trying to get a jump on our 4th of July Feast. Its hot but the kitchen sure smells good! Desserts are almost done. Chocolate caramel brownies are cooking and the Strawberry Shortcake dessert has the first 2 layers freezing and will get the banana, strawberry and whipped cream layers tomorrow. I will get up early and make the fried chicken. I havent fried chicken for a long time but decided it is an American tradition and my husband always said I made the best fried chicken ( he is biased Im sure) so I am overlooking the fact that I dont fry anymore just for him :) Have a great celebration with family and friends.
