Here are a couple of winners from tonights indulgence... Milkshake Stout Rochester Mills Beer Co. Rochester, MI Edmund Fitzgerald Porter (13) Great Lakes Brewing Co. Cleveland, OH Both are these beers were very, very enjoyable. The Milkshake Stout was creamy, slightly sweet from the lactose and had just the right amount of cocoa. It tasted great right out of the fridge and just got better as it warmed up. Santa delivered this one to me directly from Michigan. The Edmund Fitzgerald Porter, despite being a 13, was still a tasty pour. Bittersweet with a roasty aroma, some coffee notes and a just a hint of chocolate. Initial drink, when cold, was underwhelming, but I somewhat expected that. As it warmed, though, all the aforementioned flavors began to evolve. Id purposely held on to this to see how it fared over time. Thanks, Shannon, for this one. Good stuff, indeed.
