Here are a few things I wish parents would understand. 1. Yes, Im a Child Passenger Safety Technician. I ONLY want to help! 2. Their is no no need to be defensive, embarrassed, or offended. I ONLY want to help! 3. Ditch the guilt, you are seeking help, its ok. I WANT to teach you! 4. You have crumbs and sticky stuff in your car. Its ok, SO DO I! No need to apologize! Im so focused on the task, I really dont notice, and I really dont mind! 5. Your fireman / pediatrician / gardener / veterinarian / family members all tell you its ok to do xyz, and it really isnt safe, I WILL tell you. I WANT to help protect your loved one!! Often times people you think know are not CPSTs, and have no idea. I WANT to help! I WANT to teach! I WANT your child as safe as possible! Love, You Friendly CPST Jeni Genskow
