Here are a few things that we at Cab Noc want you to know. First, you raised $700 last weekend for the Lighthouse Foundation. Thats $700 going towards helping them in their work with the homeless youth of Melbourne, which we couldnt have achieved without you. So, THANK YOU, to the dedicated souls who braved the freezing cold, the hateful security and the douchenozzles next door in the karaoke bar and helped make that happen. Great job! Second, were sincerely very sorry for the shitful experience some of you have had with the venue security guards in recent times. Were fully aware of what total dicks some of them have been (and honestly, horrified), and these issues are being taken seriously. From emailing your online complaints to the venue manager, to having affected individuals speak to him on the night, he is now in a position to meet with the owners and the security company (contracted by the venue) and address these problems to ensure they never happen again. Well keep you posted of any developments, but for now, be assured that it is being dealt with. Finally, were moving back to level 3! Even though the bar refit upstairs is yet to commence (still!), were committed to bringing you two rooms of DJs playing the widest variety of tunes from this many headed monster of a subculture that we know and love. So as of next month: upstairs, two rooms - no ifs, no buts. Cabs is also kicking off on the first Saturday of each month from now on. This is to avoid clashing with other events (its a small scene and were lovers, not fighters), but also so we can take a month off for a badly needed mental health break. Love to see you upstairs @ Roxanne, Saturday Aug 2nd!
