The NBNA Scholarship Program Save Scholarship/Grant The NBNA Scholarship Program offers 14 scholarships each year to students pursuing a career in nursing who are members of the National Black Nurses Association, Inc. The scholarships are based on merit and financial need. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time at a two-year or four-year college or university pursuing a Bachelors, Associate, or L.P.N. degree with at least one year of school remaining. Applicants need to be active in student nursing activities as well as African-American activities in the community. Scholastic achievement is important. The Jack and Jill Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people be successful through education and mentoring. They reward high school students who want to enroll in college and pursue a Bachelors degree. The scholarship can be applied toward college tuition, room and board. The scholarship is managed by the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), a non-profit organization that raises funds from corporations, non-profit organizations and private donors to help more than 10,000 students every year from low-income families have the opportunity to attend college and achieve success in their careers.
