Here are my comments on global warming and its alleged science which grew out of a debate on my post on Aristotle at NC Tea Party. So lets say for discussion sake that Fourier is correct - fine. But, as Ive stated before, we are not seeing science today from man-made global warming advocates. If we did, we would see Fouriers ideas integrated with other climate-affecting factors such as the sun -- we *know* that the sun is the *primary* influence on natural climate change -- because it is the entity that warms the globe -- and it is not static. Scientists have known for centuries about the impact of sunspot activity on our climate. Why is that premise rejected by the UNs IPCC? That is not science. Why are the oceans and their vast ability to absorb CO2 not integrated into the mix? Climate science *is* complex. But all we get is simplistic scare stories: CO2 has gone up and thus temperatures are going to keep rising straight up and we are all going to burn to a crisp. No integrations. No consideration of other factors such as the ones I named. No general theory of why climate changes -- including a rational explanation of why temperatures have been flat for 15 to 35 years. We do get name-calling, smears, and intimidation aimed at those who propose potential alternatives, data, or methods. Anyone who doesnt go along with the pre-conceived conclusion is automatically labelled a hack -- or worse (compared to Holocaust deniers). We do get purposefully swayed and unobjective models based upon pre-conceived results. We get threats of great decades of hurricanes (which didnt arrive). We are told emotionalist marketing-based tales that the polar bears are dying when in fact they are doing just fine -- fluorishing in fact. It was all made up - propaganda. Environmentalists tell us that billions of people must die to *save the planet* -- they are not even concerned about humans, only that Mother Nature is pristine. We are told in the 1970s that the great freeze is coming -- what happened to the science of Fourier back then? Blank out. When we observe that some areas of the globe have unusually cold weather, we are told it is because the globe is warming! The polar ice caps are going to melt and we are all going to drown! The ice caps are bigger than they have been in years. What the left (environmentalists) has done -- and what you are doing -- is taking some small element of truth -- and doing what Aristotle warned against -- engaged in fear. You take that small piece of possible truth, that is of science, and run with it claiming to be scientific and objective. But again, it is non-integrated and just used for fear-mongering. That is not science. It is mysticism. So stop labeling anyone who has lived through this leftist campaign and questions it as anti-science. Science is about asking questions and demanding proof through demonstration of evidence and persuasion. The man-made global warming advocates have failed miserably as scientists. They are *very* good at fear-mongering in fact -- they are experts.
