Here are my primary beefs with the Olympics... 1. If the sport cannot be OBJECTIVELY judged...it probably shouldnt be an Olympic event. Throw something the farthest, be the fastest...yeah, worthy. Sports that are subjectively judged like figure skating...leaves too much up to interpretation of what is beautiful or awesome. 2. It was supposed to be amateurs...but now hard core professionals compete. How is Estonia or Turkmenistan supposed to compete with folks who hail from the NBA, NHL, etc?
