Here are some highlights from fantastic weekend at Evington. Top Speed - Becci Ellis reached 264.1mph on a Hayabusa Turbo 1300cc,reinforcing her position as world fastest woman on 2 wheels and she is now the fastest person in England over the mile, . Wheelie - Egg Van Popta hit 199.4mph on his Hayabusa Turbo 1300cc. This is his 3rd time at winning the competition. Monowheel - Tom Anable from Winterton, Scunthorpe broke the record on Saturday with 62.8mph on the Anables Atom, then Kevin Scott from Lincoln broke Toms record with 65mph on the Warhorse on Sunday. Henry Cole from ITV4s the Motorbike Show broke the record for Vintage Gasoline on his Triumph 3HW 350cc Pre 1955 with 88.8mph. He should have been going to Bonneville to attempt this, but due to various situations couldnt make it and so came to Elvington and managed to achieve the goal they had set. Zef Eisenberg from Guernsey set a new Gas Turbine record on his Mad Max Turbine bike with 224.9mph. Martyn Green from Loughborough on a Turbine Jet Kart set a new record of 80.2mph. Peter Williams, the oldest rider at 72 + 11 months, managed to get into the 200mph club with a 203.1mph. It was the first time he has used nitrous. He has been racing and trying to do this for 50 years. This was achieved on his Two Faced Hayabusa. Richard Browwn has built a Thrust Driven Streamliner which he is attempting to go 300mph+ at Bonneville. He managed his personal best of 176.8mph.
