Here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions at AYP: What is a Reiki Blessing? Where do pendulums get their answers? Should I let other people handle or use my pendulum? Is it okay to use a pendulum with a broken point? Do you need to have different pendulums for different tasks? How do I choose a pendulum thats right for me? Whats the difference between a suncatcher and a pendulum? Answers to these question - and more - can be found at the AYP FAQ page. Heres a link: askyourpendulum/FAQ.asp. Heres the answer to How do I choose a pendulum thats right for me? Pendulums are really personal. Having a special fondness for your pendulum makes you want to hold it, use it, and keep track of it. So I suggest that you look first with your eyes. Love at first sight can be a powerful thing - though its not the only thing to consider. What grabs your attention is often a great choice, so dont dismiss it just because its pretty. Once your eyes have weighed in, look with your heart. Read the stone energy information to see if it speaks to you on a level that hits home. Often, once you read about the properties of the stones and/or the symbols, you will just know whether this is the one for you because it practically leaps off the page. If you still aren’t sure, think about things from a color perspective. Do you know what your resonant color is? You don’t necessarily need your pendulum to be the same as your resonant color, but it may provide food for thought and help you narrow the choices down. There are a couple other methods that people use that I dont recommend, but Ill take a moment here to talk about them anyway. One notion, which I believe is completely outdated, is that a person can only have a pendulum if their first one is given to them as a gift. This is an old custom that presumes there will be a wise mentor in your life who will know what is best for you and show you how to use the gift. Alas, the world has changed, but we can adapt this rule to modern times. Be the giver. Give yourself the gift of the pendulum.
