Here are some police death statistics. I didnt get them from Fox News or a conservative blog. I just looked up the data on the internet and used a calculator to get the results. Fact 1: If there are 460 deaths (total of any race) at the hands of police officers every year in the usa and we have around 300,000,000 people, that puts your chance of being killed by a police officer at .00000153. Fact 2: You are about twenty times more likely to be killed just by living in Chicago, almost as likely to be killed by a deer, and about 900 times more likely to be killed by heart disease. Fact 3: In the last year we have good data, there were 765,000 police officers in the usa. That same year, there was 140 police deaths (it was actually a record low year.) That means that you are 120 times more likely to be killed AS a police officer in the united states than BY a police officer. I think our policemen are amazing and need our support. Im all for accountability measures like body cameras, but the current police are evil and a mom shouldnt have to fear when her kids go out narrative is ridiculous.
