Here are the names of those in my family who I know served in some capacity, some war, some branch of service for this country. In honor of Jerome Ronald Ruffin (my dad), Ralph, BJ, & Virgil Ruffin (my uncles), Raymond Smith (my stepfather), Kenneth & Robert Michael Ruffin (my brothers), Edyth Franklin (my adopted aunt), James Edwards & Robert Guillaume (my uncles), Lynn, Kirk, Toni Maclin (my cousins), Terry & Derrick Ingram (my cousins) & last but not least Anthony Christopher Williams II ( my son). At the age of 26, I wanted to go to the Army, I took the test and passed, passed their physical, but I already had two kids and would need to give custody to someone over my kids. That never got ironed out consequently I did not go. Sometimes I wish I had but other times I see how they are treated when they return and although it is an honorable thing to do, is it worth it. For some the answer is yes, for others no. May GOD make away for those veterans that are in need of a miracle. GOD BLESS...
