Here are two projects i recently finished. The Saguaro Cactus with 2 mm garnets and Arizona Fire Agate. It really kicked my but at first because I had to fit the fire agate into it exactly.It ended up getting two prongs on one end and is undercut on the other end allowing the stone to slip under just a hair. The Daisy is FS and uses a nice green Fire Agate for the center. This is my classic work using Japanese Tagane chisels and techniques. It is completely carved using these chisels and the shapes of each petal come to life as the hammer contours each one making a life like feel. The finish work is done using Scotch stone and then a Japanese technique applied to blast the surface with Garnet sand creating a frosted surface.
