Here are two updates I just received from Sirish. There is need for prayer and financial support in the aftermath of the cyclone. Please pray and do what you can. In particular pray for Marys mother, Mary Christiana. Dear BOD of Shanti Sadan & Agape Prison Ministries, Last week Hud Hud Cyclone hit the coastal Andhra Pradesh with the wind speed 173 miles and heavy rain. Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram and Visakhapatnam districts are effected and East Godavari was partially effected. In visakhapatnam eight thousand houses destroyed and all electric poles, telephone towers, above ten thousand coconut trees fell down and many people died. I tried to call my wife Marys parents but I was unable to reach them for five days. Three days ago they called us, said they are all safe. I came to know that still the whole district was in the dark. Pastor Joshua told me the first five days they just spent in hose without food. Now they were able to get a 5 gallons of water for 3 days and little food. Hands of Christ: Through this project, with the help of UCC, EC 10 widows are getting some help every month. Pastor Joshua also shared me 3 of them lost their home buildings (completely destroyed) in this cyclone. Now they are staying in the Church. I request all of you to pray for these precious women and also share this prayer request in your church tomorrow. The women (widows) requested me to help with some food and rebuild their house. For rebuild the house, each would be cost $250 Our staff will buy rice, vegetables in East Godavari and transport them, It would be cost $200 I asked Joshua to send me some pictures. He said there is no electricity and no computers are working. I will send you some pictures ASAP. The American team met the those women in January 2014. By the grace God Shanti Sadan children, churches, pastors and staff are safe. -- Blessings. Sirish Dear friends, Hud Hud cyclone hit Visakhapatnam 10 days ago with the wind 173 miles speed and heavy rain. Lot of damage, many trees, electric poles, cell towers, houses fell down. Mary Chrisitana (my wife Marys mother) is suffering from high blood sugar, high blood pressure and depression, she was admitted in the hospital yesterday. She was in serious condition. Last 10 days she did not had medication for diabetic and high blood pressure due to non availability of the medicine (closed all businesses).Not only Christiana many people are suffering lake of medicines and medical treatments in Visakhapatnam. All main roads are damaged causes stopped the transportation. Christiana told me all doctors in the city left the place because there is no electricity. Please pray for the people of Visakhapatnam............ and Christiana.
