Here comes a rant!..its about halfords..the reason you shouldnt touch halogen bulbs is due to the fact that the grease on humans fingers can cause hot spots on the bulbs glass surface and may cause them to fail.not that youll get burnt,as halfords suggest! A defective bulb will not get hot!.and the only reason to replace them would be if its defective?!! Stop using scare tactics Halfords!...rant over x
