Here goes.... Hi, Im Jane and Im a belly dancing photographer.... Or maybe Im a picture-taking bellydancer. Either way, most of you have seen me on the other side of my camera for a while so, thank you Margaret Pribble for adding me! :) I need to get back to the shimmy! I wanted to try out belly dancing when I was celebrating turning 40 by doing 40 Fabulous Things for myself. I was trying to feel better about my age and my weight (which I had never had to struggle with before... the weight... the age, meh) Ive studied with Nayna and Yasmine and hung out with pretty much everybody else. Ive gotten to take some great workshops. I think I took one class from Naima before I injured myself. (Dont get too close to me during a rehearsal.... Im kind of a klutz and dropped a sword on my toe during a dress rehearsal once.) The past 7 years have had more downs than I care to admit so Im hoping getting my shimmy back will help exorcise some demons.
