Here goes, I need to study further on how we as a county spend money...its obviously not by common sense....considering we cant afford to arrest the serious criminals due to lack of funds to house and medically treat them, but we can sit our a**es on new bleachers partially funded by tax payers, we can stop at new red lights on a un finished, un necessary bypass...I wish we could spend tax money where it deserves to be spent, on cleaning up the real drug problems in our county...Im not referring to marijuana, I dont consider that a valid problem, I DO NOT USE MARIJUANA, but the people who do normally do are not thieves or problems to society, they are normally employed and have a calm demeanor...most bar fights dont happen to people that smoked some pot...just saying...I am talking about meth and prescription pill abusers..those are the people who will steal or harm someone to get what they want, they dont normally have jobs because they cant hold them...They are abusive to spouses and or children...but the problem lies within finding the funds to treat these people, clean their houses where they cook meth, and foster the kids that are left behind...That all adds up to a huge bill that no one can pay...That in my opinion is why it tends to get looked over...but again, we as a county have all kinds of useless things that look pretty for people that drive by...I myself am a victim of a drug related crime, I had my belongings stole to fund someones drug problem...when I told the detective where to find the culprit and nothing ever came of it, they were handed a basically solved case and blew it off...That is beyond my comprehension, but again this same person has been arrested for shop lifting and still frequents Wal Mart and every other establishment that they previously stole from....what kind of an impression does this give to my children that see this person free and about buying food with government stamps knowing they took our things...looks to me like crime might pay in our county, I have the duty now to explain to my kids that being morally right is as important as being lawful...so yes I went and voted today, praying for a change...
