Here inside your capital city Beltway, were following the wisdom of that classic, great American movie (filmed not far from my hometown of Shelby Montana) via the genius of Howard Hawks -- THE THING -- with an assist from Joshua Wolff as our family battles….invading mice. Spring traps -- no good; glue traps -- they wised up; the ever alert dog Roxy -- losing her killer paws touch, BUT WAIT: The Rat Zapper -- a bread box sized, blue plastic becomes a coffin powered by four AA batteries, lures the invaders from Outer Space inside with the aromatic promise of dry sustenance, leads them down the tunnel to a silver pad ZAPPAROONY! And another one bites the dust. The most effective so far. And BTW, if you have not seen the original movie THE THING, do: not a wasted frame of film and so much slyly hidden in the eras mandatory cliches.
