Here is 2 interesting Trench art items both from WW2 , the coconut money box on the right is made using the coconut shell with push fit on a wooden base that has Wewak 1945 scratched into a piece of aircraft aluminium, the eyes and nose painted on , many like this were sent home from New Guinea as Gifts for loved ones. The Second one is a complete Coconut that was simply addressed by the soldier and posted home in the mail, most of the address and sender still visible .
