I appreciate hearing from you. Drafting articles of impeachment is a very serious action. So much so that only two presidents have ever formally impeached in our nations history. Although I have significant differences with the President and many of his policies, impeachment is reserved for instances in which the President is accused of high crimes. It is clear that this president needs to be held accountable. I believe we need to continue to do our job in Congress through the legislative process and by maintaining close oversight over the Presidents Administration. The American people deserve answers with respect to discriminate targeting of conservative organizations by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the decisions made in the wake of the terrorist attack on our diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, and secret surveillance of reporters by the Department of Justice.
