Here is MY REACTION TO THE CHANNELS TV SUNRISE DISCOURSE. this morning on...War of Words: Presidency Vs APC. There is nothing offensive in the use of the word Kindergarten to describe the actions of the Presidency, the President ought to, and should be seen and treated as our Chief Servant not an overlord or a Suzerain, we must emulate the paradigms in other democracies where leaders are seen and treated as number one civil servants and not as demigods. Curiously as billions are spent and appropriated daily and the 2009 agreement between the FG and ASUU observed by government in the breach; as the ASUU strike continues and government appears unperturbed; as Medical Officers commence a nationwide strike and government appears undisturbed; as corruption holds sway and government lies about her commitment to anti-corruption; and as insecurity festers despite the trillions spent thus far on security, does the description of this Presidency as kindergarten, rogue and, or 419 appear wrong? Obama has been called names ranging from a jihadist, a secret gay, a socialist, a liar, a birth Certificate cheat/fraud to an inexperienced African American President, George Bush Jnr pelted with tomatoes and Cameron insulted by the people and the press, yet no hooplas, craps and hollabaloos about the dignities of their office. If you expect to be praised when you do well, then accept the insult when you fail, such is the law of life, let no Court-jester seek to assault truth. We MUST be careful not to allow the subterfuge and the surreptition that seeks to deify the office of the President lest we deify mediocrity. The margins must be responsible and responsive governance such is the only way to win respect for the office. May God elevate us beyond the waters of political jobbing to the broad fountains of TRUTH.
