Here is a British-made Hollywood movie I appeared in many years - TopicsExpress

Here is a British-made Hollywood movie I appeared in many years ago!! I am in two scenes here and in seven/eight scenes overall. See if you can spot me here. My mate was the assistant director on this film with American actors Stephen Dorff and Sheryl Lee, better known as Laura Palmer from the popular TV series Twin Peaks. These scenes alone were shot in Ladbroke Grove, London W10 over three days. I was working in television at the time and this film was produced by Neil Jordan, who made the award-winining The Crying Game. I had a week off work, and my mate rang me. Scott, can you come down to Ladbroke Grove for a week, we need you to play an uncredited part. What part is that I asked him? We need you to play a mean-looking nightclub bouncer in the Kaiser Keller, someone who will get into a fight in the Hamburg nightclub with American GIs, beat them up a bit, smash some glasses over tables, ogle the strippers, drink beer and smoke fags and look really mad. Talk about typecasting. And where do I sleep if filming goes on until late? I asked my mate. Well, there are a lot of pretty girls on the set, you know! This was the most relaxed set I have ever been on. Great fun. Both Dorff and Sheryl Lee were totally down-to-earth, everyone smoked together outside on the street, ate together, laughed together. There was no star treatment here. The film was criticized by Paul McCartney and Cynthia Lennon, who didnt like how the great actress Jennifer Ehle played her. Macca wanted to be seen more a s a rock n roller. Paul Humpoletz, who plays Bruno Koschmider in this movie (green jacket, bald, moustache) , the nightclub manager of the Kaiser Keller where the Beatles career took off before they became Four Lads Who Shook the World, and I became mates during filming. He started his acting career at the Dundee Rep alongside fellow Scots Kenny Ireland and Ron Bain, who became successful actors and TV directors later in life. Also in the movie is actor Gary Bakewell who comes from Aberdeen and plays Paul McCartney. Gary now does voice-overs for TV and radfio adverts. You can see me at around 2.28 in this clip beside Bruno!! I am starting to spoil for a fight with some of the punters, and getting agitated!! The fight appears later in the film. https://youtube/watch?v=Tu5elaL3Z2A
