Here is a VERY frustrating update from INDIEWIRE... I am so sad, I cant even believe this : Hi all: As you know, the Project of the Year polls closed for voting this afternoon at 5 pm EST. However, we’re reopening voting because we don’t have a clear winner. We have several films with many, many votes that came from suspect addresses. (For more details, read this article.) We are currently going through the process of killing off all suspect votes. When we’re done, the numbers are going to be very different. And because we can’t be sure who created all these false votes — someone who thought they wouldn’t be caught? A hacker? A competitor who wanted to make another film look bad? — we have extended voting until Friday, January 30 at 5 pm EST. We take this contest very seriously. Please let your friends, family and fans know that cheating will result in your project being disqualified. Thanks, Indiewire Editors
