Here is a dialogue I had with a new client that is struggling with low energy levels. The first thing that I would do is keep working out, but only in Heart Rate Zones 2 or less; energy creates energy so exercise is a good thing. Second, add red meat to your daily diet complemented with brown bread. The red meat will provide your body iron, which is a carrier for hemoglobin, which is the carrier of oxygen to your working brain and muscles. The brown bread (pumpernickel or any other dark bread) will provide B vitamins (energy vitamins) and also help your body absorb the iron from the red meat. It will work wonders once you get your blood iron levels re-balanced – this may take a week or 10 days depending how depleted you are. Please keep me posted.
