Here is a heads up regarding paving on Rt 1 this month: DOT PAVING IN EAST LYME IN JUNE -The DOT is planning on paving Rt 1 from near the Oswegatchie School in Waterford through the Flanders Four Corners in East Lyme stopping near the front of Pizza Cucina. The DOTs contractor plans on starting the milling operation on June 11th in Waterford and it is a 5-6 day operation so they should be crossing into East Lyme around Friday June 13th or early the next week. Their hours of operation will be 7am - 4pm. There will be a one week period after milling where the DOT will work on adjusting structures then the paving operation is scheduled to start on Monday June 23rd. The paving should take approx 5-6 days. The DOTs paving contractor is planning to start paving in Waterford so they probably wont get to the Flanders Four Corners area until about thurs June 23rd or Friday June 24th. If the public has questions, they should contact the DOT Waterford Garage at 860-443-1518.
