Here is a prime example of a Sheriff who treat ALL citizens equally and with respect. It is well known that Mr. Joe Culver is a strong Carey Batts supporter. Culver has openly stated who will receive his vote on numerous occasions. Billy Wayne Wildharber, being well aware that Mr. Culver has no intention of voting for him, still took the time to engage in more than one discussion with Culver and answered his questions without hesitation just as he would one of his own supporters. That is how to treat everyone equally and with respect even when someone, on the other team as Batts would say. -Billy Wildharber Aug 27, 2014 Several days ago Mr. Joe Culver posed several questions to me in regard to the upcoming election and asked several valid and reasonable ones. I apologize for taking so long to respond as I have been very busy campaigning that I just have not had the time to respond. I would like to take this opportunity to answer a few of those questions to the best of my ability.... In closing I would like to thank Joe Culver for having such a great interest in the well being of our great county and having the respect to ask me questions that are important to him and I am sure to many others. You referred to my statement about Sheriff Cooper. I asked it that way because advertising and comments on Facebook (many of them by supporters of you or Carey) seem to imply that the drug problem in Ballard County is out of control; if my inference is correct, then it must follow that efforts during Sheriff Coopers time in office have not been successful. I was asking for clarification, certainly not suggesting any criticism of Sheriff Cooper who, I believe, has done a good job. ****So, now that we all know how Wildharber treats the supporters of his opponent, lets examine the other team. Like Mr. Culver, I too have also openly stated who will receive my vote numerous times and it is well known that I am a strong supporter of Wildharber and that i was of Giles in the primary. There have been two occasions where I have attempted to engage Batts. The first was May 12, just after our neighbors had filed yet another false incident report on me which was caught on surveillance video. I made a copy of the video, contacted the 7 eye witnesses that were present and we went to the sheriffs office to report the crime and to clear my name. Batts was on duty at the sheriffs office. After stating what had really happened, Batts asked, Well how are you gonna prove it? I responded, Its all right here on this tape and everyone here with me were there the whole time. Batts responded, Well what are you wanting me to do about it? I responded, Uhh, well, falsely reporting an incident is a crime and I was under the impression that cops didnt like being lied to. Batts responded, I dont have time for this, theres nothing I can do. At that point it became obvious that I was once again a victim of the good ole boy system and started to get emotional so I turned and walked out of the Sheriffs Office disgusted. The second was the same day, after I got home and calmed down, I got on facebook and sent Carey a message stating that I was sorry for becoming emotional and leaving in such a haste and informed him of how horrible it is to constantly be accused of things I didnt do and that no one was willing to listen or to view any of the evidence I presented. Batts NEVER responded to my message and immediately thereafter he AND his wife, Heather, BLOCKED me from there facebook pages. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN HOW THE TWO CANDIDATES TREAT PEOPLE THAT HAVE TAKEN SIDES This first pic is of the message right after I sent it.
