Here is a random thoughts and pseudo rant thread... Not so good - TopicsExpress

Here is a random thoughts and pseudo rant thread... Not so good first, then the good and positive. I had an appointment scheduled for 10am at the orthopedic that I asked if I could come early for because I have never been in and out of there in less than 2 hours and it is usually 3. I was told that they wouldnt be behind but I could come early nonetheless. I got in around 9:30 and was not seen until 11:15. Luckily I got in a solid hour plus of reading in that time so it wasnt a waste of time. But regardless, not talked to or called until 11:15. I then wait in the room waiting for the Dr... X-Ray tech comes in at 11:30, less than 5 minutes in the X-Ray room. Dr in at 11:45 and out and done with me at 11:48. I dont understand how Drs are seen as such professionals and experts when there is literally no worry or care to you and you are so very clearly a transaction and fitness professionals and personal trainers have to start from such a low perceived expectation and are in no way seen as experts initially. I think Im bias because in Twoguns Training Systems I put in a lot of effort into making clients feel like they are part of the Twoguns family and so much more than a payment and always try to give as much value as I can that when I experience something like this every time Im there it is strange. Some things slip through the cracks the busier I get but the clients are always number 1 to me. It reminded me of Las Vegas, you are just a transaction to everyone. On a positive and less whiny note, in the 3 minutes he did see me, I was told that since I was in such good shape and moved so well before the break that there is a very high likelihood I will not need physical therapy. An easy way to show how being in shape saves you money in addition to making you less likely to get into these situations but in the unfortunate instance you do, it saves you. Had I not done the training beforehand, I would be paying $40 a copay at physical therapy each visit plus whatever on my insurance entails that I dont have to worry about now of it. Being strong helps everything. And always looking at the bright side, got some good reading time on some new training stuff and dont have to go to physical therapy - maybe not worth my entire morning but not a bad thing nonetheless haha.
