Here is a short bio about Chef Thomas : Chef Thomas grew up in Columbus Ohio coming from a large family. He has four brothers and two sisters. He loved cooking from a young age and even cooked for a family in the neighborhood at age 13. Providing them some of the things he saw his mother and grandmother cook. Chef Thomas said he grew up watching his grandmother, grandfather and mother, who all were from Georgia, cook many southern recipes. This is where he learned about Southern food. The Flare in Soular Flare is Chef Thomas making those same recipes but adding his view and knowledge to them. He has been involved in the restaurant and hospitality industry since 1984, working for TGI Friday’s, Marriott and Sheraton Suites. He enrolled in culinary school in Columbus in 2006 and graduated and began a Career with Kahiki Food Cooperation. Chef Thomas worked for Kahiki Cooperation in Columbus as one of the developers of their frozen food products. Then moved into the Quality & Control Department where he worked for 6 years. Some of you might remember the Kahiki Supper Club in Columbus Ohio which was open from 1961-2000. The son of the owner took it over and started the Kahiki Frozen Food plant. Chef Thomas moved to the Fairborn area in 2011 when he got engaged to his wife who is a Greene County resident and is a First Responder in the area. Chef Thomas wants to be part of the community and serve good food at a reasonable price. Soular Flare is not the typical restaurant in the area. Some have said it is just what the area needed. When you walk into Soular Flare Bistro you will find friendly smiles, linen table cloths and napkins, flowers on each table and soft music in the background. Chef Thomas plans to revise the menu on a monthly basis. He plans to introduce these items as Daily Specials. Chef Thomas believes in using fresh ingredients when preparing his food. He believes food should be tasted and enjoyed for the true flavors they naturally have. As well as the mixing up the spices in a dish. This menu is a conceptual menu which will always have the same four or five regular items people love but things will change for the seasons and introduce foods that speak a southern flare. Chef Thomas will provide an establishment where you can enjoy great meal in an atmosphere free of loud noises and televisions. We look forward to seeing you soon. 131 Cincinnati Ave Xenia Ohio 45385 (937) 562-3307
