Here is a silly story about my momma, which I would like to share. Suzy (my mom) is 80 years old. She was out of breath when I called her the other night, & I asked her if she was lifting weights (joke). She explained that she & her friend/neighbor who lives across the street from her (friends name is Dot) decided to do the following to their other friends tree: the other friend (I dont know her name) was complaining that she had spent $ 300 on some tree, & clearly, the tree is dying but shouldnt be. My mother picked up leaves from her own yard, Dot brought a skeleton with her, and the 2 of them went to the friends yard in the dark. They could see the friend through the kitchen window, as they scurried around, hoping to not be spotted. My mom somehow tied (??) the leaves onto the dead tree, and Dot hung the skeleton from the tree. Then, they scurried on home. I asked my mom if she knows when the friend is going to see the prank. My mom said, PROBABLY WHEN SHE GOES OUTSIDE TO GET HER NEWSPAPER TOMORROW MORNING!!! - and she was laughing like a teenager when she told me this story. The next night, Amanda was driving (has her permit), & I told her this story, about her grandma. She laughed so much, she almost had to pull over (just picturing my mother waddling about....waddling because of her age; not because of her weight). This made me think of when Dominice LaPorte Einig gave me a surprise 30th birthday party at her house - & when we walked in, all I saw was some woman shuffling by, to get out of the way. This person was not in place. This person was my mother. This made Amanda laugh even more. Suzy Satterlee is a very silly woman.
