Here is an example of the type of advocacy I do in my new business called John Helps Advocacy Services #ScotiaBank and many banks have a policy where they reduce banking fees once you turn 60. However, one gentleman turned 65 and only then did he somehow learn of the policy. He met with the bank to try and get his money back however they gave him a hard time, and after his persistence, only offered him approximately half of what was owed to him (around $400). When he told me about it, I was able to help by getting him the full $800 he was owed. All it took was one carefully crafted email, with some CCs to the right people, a sample press release regarding the matter for the bank to review for accuracy before being sent to the media, and they resolved the matter immediately. They then requested that I no longer send email and to let me know the matter was resolved.
