Here is an update from my Uncle Earnies daughter in law. Please continue to pray for him and his family. From Susan Ashcraft Stephens :Earnie had no ill effects from the anesthesia. Unfortunately we are positive now that its cancer. Small cell lung cancer that has metastasized to the brain, and possibly a small tumor on the liver. Earnie will be starting radiation tomorrow and after the markers come back from pathology he will start chemo. Surgery is not an option and sadly the rad/chemo will only slow its progression. My in laws found out about the ugly C word on their wedding anniversary. But their family and support system is phenomenal! We will do what needs be done, what can be done and whatever we can think of to make this easier for Earnie Stephens and Nancy Stephens. Pleaise continue praying for them, and all the family - they are so close knit. Devastating news to so many; it just proves how much he is loved and respected. Thank you all!!
