Here is another fearless animal rights activist Priya Sawhney from the San Francisco Bay Area. Priya, very courageously walks into a local restaurant reminding and challenging the customers what was on their plates was not food but violence. Although in their hearts the customers know it but being brought up as flesh-eating human-animals they tend to bury their guilt deep down into their conscience. Priyas non-violent confrontation with institutionalized violent lifestyles of the customers is a way to help bringing on the surface those guilts hidden in the dark corners of their conscience where those customers are not only uncomfortable with their behavior but are shamed of it in their own eyes. Priya Sawhney is a beautiful young activist and I was honored to have worked with her on animal issues. I also take pride in sharing my Indian heritage with her.
