This summer we intend to start programming and designing its beta model. The Application Designer is responsible for the layout and graphic design of the CityWhisk application. Since the applicant will be helping design the CityWhisk application, prior experience designing is essential. The Application Designer is expected to: • Interact with team members in developing storyboards/wireframes that meet feature requirements in new/existing software systems. • Provide graphics and styles for the design of storyboards/wireframes and marketing material; • Track daily progress and communicate changes (and their impact) to management; • Reflect the company’s high standards, integrity, and strong work ethic. Since CityWhisk is in the early stage of development, there are lots of opportunities to grow with the management team. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and passion. The successful applicant should feel comfortable signing a non-disclosure agreement. Position Requirements: • Know how to develop for iOS and Android • Work with APIs and REST, • Integrate point-of-sale technologies, • Demonstrable understanding of the "do-it-yourself" market. • Understanding of human-computer interface design principles; • Knowledge of graphic design theories (line, shape, texture, color, space, emphasis, unity); • Excellent knowledge of DHTML (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DOM); • Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Balsamiq; • Desired knowledge of Microsoft Expression Blend, Adobe Flash; • Excellent written/verbal communication and teaming skills.
