Here is another update from the father of one of the young people we have supported with their canoeing career: "Joe Clarke received financial support from the foundation to assist with coaching costs and travelling costs to Nottingham several years ago.The assistance at the time enabled him to continue working towards his goal of representing his country at the top level. Joe is now nearly 21 now and is a full time athlete and a member of both the senior and Under 23 GB national squads. He lives and trains in London on the Olympic course and is the GB senior national champion. He won his medal at the Under 23 European championships in the French Alps at the beginning of August and is the first K1 man to win a medal of any description at a major championship. Once again thanks for the foundation supporting Joe and hopefully he will be representing the country in Rio at the next Olympics." Well done Joe. We feel proud to have supported you at the start of a very promising career.
