Here is my Top 10 Mock Draft....Some of you may not like it because i dont think any QBs should be in the top 10. So this is how it should play out. Of course it wont.......lol #1 Houston Texans; Jadeveon Clowney - He has been my favorite to go #1 and i believe he will. People will argue it isnt a fit because he is better suited for a 4-3. He would be playing the same position as Tamba Hali did under Romeo Crennel. In which Hali only dropped back in coverage 8.6% of the time. Pair him with Watt, Mercilus, Reed and Cushing would be solid defense. OTHER OPTIONS- BLAKE BORTLES, KHALIL MACK #2 St. Louis Rams Sammy Watkins - People have them taking a T at #2 if the stay. Im expecting them to trade out but if not this makes alot of sense. They already have Tavon Austin, Chris Givens, Kenny Britt, Brian Quick and Jared Cook. So far none has panned out but Austin has shown some upside. Watkins with Austin would make and outstanding playmaking duo. They can draft a T with the 13th pick. OTHER OPTIONS- KHALIL MACK, GREG ROBINSON #3 Jacksonville Jaguars Khalil Mack - Mack will possibly play the LEO role in Gus Bradleys defense. Chris Clemons may play that role now but he is 32 and coming off a sub-par season. Mack can play both in a 3-4 and a 4-3. Seattle has shown you can not have enough pass rushers. With the signing of Clemons and Bryant along Andre Branch and with the re-signing of Jason Babin will make them a formidable front. OTHER OPTIONS- JOHNNY MANZIEL, BLAKE BORTLES #4 Cleveland Browns Blake Bortles - I know everyone expects Johnny Manziel to be drafted by the Browns. Blake Bortles is the best QB prospect in this draft. He has the prototypical size of an NFL QB. He reminds my of Big Ben. He has good pocket awareness and he is deceptively quick. He climbs the pocket and keeps his eyes downfield. To survive in the tough AFC North you need that QB that can take the hits. Unlike Manziel Bortles is that guy. OTHER OPTIONS- GREG ROBINSON, JAKE MATTHEWS #5 Oakland Raiders Greg Robinson - Oakland has been signing a bunch of veterans to be the starters. I think they should go best available player. That player is arguably the best LT in the draft. He still needs needs to improve his footwork, hand use and technique but is the most talented and athletic T in the draft. Oakland may go with the safer pick in Jake Matthews since they havent had the best of luck drafting in the 1st round. OTHER OPTIONS- JAKE MATTHEWS, JOHNNY MANZIEL #6 Atlanta Falcons Jake Matthews - We all know the Falcons need defensive help but they need to keep Matt Ryan upright. Smart, tough, versatile franchise left tackle capable of playing all five positions on the line. Can plug into a starting lineup immediately and will play a long time at a consistently high level. You can put him next to Asamoah and solidify the right side to have a great run blocking duo. He only has one year at LT and his best position may be at center. I see 0 bust potential. OTHER OPTIONS- ERIC EBRON ANTHONY BARR #7 Tampa Bay Buccaneeers Mike Evans - At 65 231 lbs he has the size to be a chain mover at the next level. Still needs to learn the full route tree and may take some time to develop. Pairing him with Vincent Jackson on the opposite side may help him with 1 on 1 coverage. He is a red zone threat due to his basketball skills. He catches the ball at its highest point and uses his frame to box out defenders. It would be something Lovie Smith never had in Chicago and that is real WRs. OTHER OPTIONS- ANTHONY BARR CJ MOSLEY #8 Minnesota Vikings Anthony Barr - Once again we all know the Vikings need a QB. You all know as well their defense wasnt that great either. They hired a defensive coach in Mike Zimmer and i think they will help solidify that defense with the first pick. They signed Linval Joseph to pair up with Shariff Floyd, Brian Robison and Everson Griffen. They need someone opposite of Chad Greenway to start. They signed Captain Munnerlyn to pair with Josh Robinson and Xavier Rhodes. The best way to help out a secondary is to develop a pass rush. Cassel is a serviceable QB and will improve under Norv Turner. I still see them drafting a QB in the 2nd round. OTHER OPTIONS- DEREK CARR TEDDY BRIDGEWATER #9 Buffalo Bills Eric Ebron - The Bills could use a LB but the only one on the board who could still go this high is CJ Mosley. Since they signed Brandon Spikes that is not a need. Eric Ebron is a cant miss prospect. Would be a great pairing as the move TE next to Scott Chandler. He has a clean release and great acceleration into his routes. He is usually to fast for most linebackers and too big for corners to cover. Great body control, agility, quickness and agility. I have heard him being compared to Vernon Davis. Buffalo needs to help out Manuel and the best way to do that is a TE as a security blanket. Ebron can also go deep and open up the field for CJ Spiller. OTHER OPTIONS- CJ MOSLEY HAHA CLINTON-DIX #10 Detroit Lions Justin Gilbert - The Lions are rumored to be interested in Sammy Watkins and may move up. I think that would be a stupid move because the draft is deep at WR and would be a waste to lose those draft picks. The Lions have to deal with a great group of WRs in the NFC North. The likes of Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, Jordy Nelson, Cordarrelle Patterson and Greg Jennings. Gilbert has the size, speed and flexibility to cover these bigger receivers. Not to mention he will be covering the best WR in the game in practice. Great hand eye coordination and leaping ability. Could use work at stopping the run though. He is a great kick returner (6 career return TDs) With the veteran leaders in the secondary (Chris Houston and Rashean Mathis) he may develop into a premiere shut down corner. OTHER OPTIONS- ODELL BECKHAM JR HAHA CLINTON-DIX TJP
