Here is my opinion... it probably will not be popular: Domestic Violence is Wrong! Domestic Violence hurts! Domestic Violence Kills! Domestic Violence destroys families, but please lets remember that the Domestic Violence outcry should be a 2 way street. When the mainstream media, Facebook and Twitter analyst along with ESPN commentators come out and say over and over again, that there is never an instance that would justify a man hitting a woman (which I agree) it indirectly criminalizes all men who think differently and believe it or not gives women a platform of protection to take advantage of this perspective. Do you think that there are women that will take advantage of this and say something like I know that he cant and wont hit me so Im going to provoke him to Hell and back because Ive got society and the majority of public opinion on my side that will always see me as the victim regardless if I spit on him, slapped him, etc...... Especially those that are in professional sports now have a huge X on their back because these organizations are attempting to protect their brand. Point of this Post: We need to teach both Men and Women to keep their hands to themselves and to learn to communicate without violence.
