Here is my plan if you need food stamps. The government can buy the food that people need cheaper than the consumer can at the store(may be non-name brand items). We create jobs by making local distribution centers. You get aid delivered right to your door. People will be hired to load and unload trucks and sort items into boxes based on what the family would need for a week, be it toilet paper, diapers eggs, sugar, flour, meat, milk, basically all the staples. People will be then paid to drive the aid boxes right to where you live. The box should read something like a humanitarian ration we give to people in other countries, How about "Food gift from the people of your community". No cash would be included, since everything you actually need is provided. If the recipient wants to spend their own money for non necessities that would be on them.
