Here is my tax rant for 2013. I love how my 1200 sq ft building in Roy with a property size of a whopping .111501 Acres costs me $1800+ for 2013 property tax and my Home that is 2500 sq ft on 1.2 acres costs $1300.00. Then I have to pay tax on my furniture or any new office supplies I purchased in 2013. So, I go to office max and buy a printer and a chair I pay tax for them at the register. Then, The county accessor taxes me on those same products again at the end of the year because they are considered essential office supplies and are used to help my store make a profit and therefore I need to pay again. Sometimes I ask myself why I deal with all the stress of being self employed. I always seem to make good money until the government puts their slimy hands in my cookie jar and whats left after they are finished with me is disgusting. Ive said it once and Ill say it again. I feel like I work for the mafia and are constantly forced to give up my earnings. I love my store and all Ive accomplished but I honestly cant wait for the day when I am able to sell my company and walk away .. Those of you who make good money at a 8-5 job dont complain because you could make good money working 8-8 7 days a week just to then hand over 30-40% of your earnings while being nickle and dimed to death on everything you do. I pay twice for everything.. electrical, gas, property tax, internet, phone, etc and just because Im a business the rate I am charged for those services are 3x higher than what Im charged at my home. >:|
