Here is some general information for the contestss at Pumpkin Fest! CONTEST INFORMATION PUMPKIN CHUNKIN’ 5:30 PM Oct 4th-Schuylkill Mall (How far can YOU throw a pumpkin?) ALL ages, plus male/female categories. PRIZES IN EACH CATEGORY! Registration info at 874-3660 or shopschuylkillmall MY FAVORITE PUMPKIN Paper pumpkins are decorated at the Frackville Library on Sept 18 & 19 and are carried to the Festival Oct 5th. Age categories: 4 to 7 and 8 to 12 PRIZES IN EACH CATEGORY! For info: call Elaine at 874-3382 LIMERICK CONTEST Write a tasteful limerick with a pumpkin theme! Open to all ages! Mail entry (Include name, address, phone) by 9/27 to: FBPA Limerick Contest PO Box 261 Frackville, PA 17931 Limericks are read throughout the Festival! PRIZES FOR THE BEST LIMERICKS! ART OF THE PUMPKIN Purchase a large blank wooden pumpkin at the Frackville Library ($5 or $3 for students and those over 65) Decorate it and return your pumpkin to the Library by 9/26. Judging occurs 10/5 and pumpkins are auctioned off at a ticket auction at the Festival. GREAT PRIZES! For info: call Elaine at 874-3382. PENNY ART Children 6-12 receive a bag of pennies. Design anything on the sidewalk and your artwork is judged. ONE GRAND PRIZE to be awarded!
