Here is some pics of the 2.0 turbo exhaust manifold! Im sure most people have heard of the poor piston design, what I have seen and talked with other people, the main piston issue seems to come from the number three cylinder! One of the theory is the piston ring lands are too close together, under a lot of pressure the top ring pushes down onto the second which causes the piston to crack! After looking more at the exhaust manifold runners on #2,and #3 u can really see how poorly those runners flow. This would cause more back pressure in these cylinders adding to the stress on piston. Now, this is just theory, Im not saying this is 100% the cause, Im not the worlds smartest man! Im in process now of building a tubular header, Im also going to possibly port the stock manifold and do test on flow bench before and after! This is going to take some time but figured Id share some pics with the community! Enjoy
