Here is something to further think about in Councils use of Section 89(2) of the Local Government Act 1989 (h) Any other matter which the Council or Special Committee considers would prejudice the Council or any person. I now put the question to you Christine since Cr Sharon Gibson who, along with Cr Peter Gibbons, declared an interest in the matter and left the Council Chamber. Would you not say that Section “h” should not apply now to this report, as they were the only 2 Councillors out of the Councillors 8 present to declare an interest in this agenda item thus they identified themselves as being named in the report? And of course the next question is who decided and when that this report should be in items closed?
