I have no money- my wife wants me to buy milk. And this is the truth of reality. McKenna was selling something just like a televangelist and he did quite well- good job Terence. I wish Terence all the best, but please lets be honest. McKenna made a living doing this and selling his story. My own opinion is that he was taking advantage of the desperation and soullessness of our society. His answer was to reject society and all the norms but does he really give us an answer? What was the great knowledge he attained? That the universe is all about syntax and the bardo elves think he is a demi-god? Well once again good for you Terence, but please do not claim you are doing anything to help me bro. I have to fish some change out of my truck and see about buying some milk and rice- now that is reality my friends. Material reality is a soul trap and the world is Hell- Terence was a famous demi-god of Hell so he did quite well here with all the lesser lights including us worshipping his word farts. But I say pew! Something stinks here! Material reality is not a playful game- the consciousness he is speaking of is known well to my Cathar ancestors- it is the wrathful God of this world that created the trap. Beyond the lights and the elves that massage our ego is the truth- the lesser lights are just as all the spiritual masters have taught- they are a trick. If you are surrounded by a bunch of beings manipulating your emotions and drawing energy from you do you really think this is all good? The world is a great place if you pay homage to the Earth bound Gods that created this reality and this is what McKenna is doing. He is saying its all good love and light and all that crap and oh yes syntax-yes syntax is so important. Balderdash! Im out to continue my miserable life in Hell. As you grow old and sick and die ask yourself then-are you having fun now? If when you die you get the chance bypass all these beings and go back home you should probably go for it; but of course if all these beings are telling you how great you are you may be tempted to stay here in this reality. But the lesser lights in the end will take and take more than they give you and this is why only Shaman do this trip. I bet you dont see any teenagers in the Amazon dosing all cavalier.
