Here is the bio for the Salsa Teacher: Luis D Rivera (Ruzzo) Artistic Bio Professional dancer and choreographer. He began taking classes at the Hostos Dance and Theater Company Mayaguez in 1999 where he participated in various musicals and national competitions. In 2004 became a member of Ballet Escenario where he acquired preparation in Ballet, Contemporary and Salsa, and scored leading roles in shows like; Toy Story, Sharks Tale and The Lion King among others. In 2006 brings his talents to Western Ballet Theater where he acquired greater preparation in Ballet and scored side and leading roles in Dracula (tm), The Nutcracker and Carmen. He has taken workshops with the best exponents of dance in PR and internationally. In 2007 he represented PR in Italy as part of the COA Folkloric Company. Was part of the Dance Team at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez from 2007-2010 where he earned two gold medals and one silver. He has given classes at Center Stage Performing Arts (Physical Training for Dancers, Musical Theater, Contemporary), Western Ballet (Salsa, Hiphop), Ballet Escenario (Salsa, Hiphop), Del Mar Dance Studio (Salsa), Steps Performing Arts (Salsa, Street Jazz). In 2012 became part of Rompecabeza Dance Company of Jayson Molina (World Champions in the World Salsa Open) and served as Artistic Director of Rompecabeza Training Team. In 2014 created Kribe Dance Company and performed with his group in the PR Salsa Congress, after that, received an invitation to the NY International Salsa Congress where the public loved the show. Currently resides in Bangor, Maine where he hopes to infect the audience with a taste of Puerto Rico Salsa!
