Here is the budget The annuity industry are either incompetent or a bunch of rogues who refuse to act with any integrity, morals and seem to have a predilection to evade any regulations, rather than get them to clean up their act or get some proper training or, as we are pathologically averse to regulations then we shall let everybody just spend their pension pot as they see fit. Consumer choice is the best control in a free market so if one wants to purchase houses, heroin, holidays or haddocks with a pension pot one may - god knows what happens if you run out of dosh - but I wont be around to worry about that and I will pontificate from the House of Lords. This also is of benefit to our chums the captains of industry and the bankers who have amassed obscene pension pots and we need them to be able to release these as soon as possible for their benefit and for ours in the dribble of taxes we will receive and the trickle of money showered on the less fortunate. Things will be better as one can save up to £15k tax free pa. This is necessary because the banking and finance system which caused this mess has proved impossible or undesirable to regulate and savers have lost money for years as inflation has outstripped net interest. In order that more people will save and thus benefit our banker chums, the Govt will allow more savings to be gross free of tax and thus supplement the meagre rates of interest that the greedy, rich and miserly bankers, our chums, offer to the hoi polloi. Thus we subsidise banking in addition to all the shares UK plc bought on your behalf in these enterprises. Far be it from these bankers to practice philanthropy which is a common US practice for the excessively rich which allows the rich to divest their savings for the common good. We have no intention of importing that (unlike all the other ideas to do with law and order, health systems and schools) We have raised the allowance before tax kicks in and the few hundred pounds that this will release will soon be eaten up in increased energy, transport and rental costs for most of you. We do not think the energy market can be better regulated so as a compensation to ensure that you are able to drive miles from low rent/price areas to high rent/price areas to work (we must have you slaving) we have frozen the tax on car fuels. Rail and buses must price their fares on free market principles. We will continue to ensure that housing benefit eventually goes to landlords and we have no idea what to do about hosuing except carry on wih our Hel to buy scheme which raises GDP with no long term benefit, UK plc will continue to acquire unsecured mortgage debt and just hope the housing market doesnt go belly up. Oh by the way our natural resources are running out and I have tinkered with a few things to placate some manufacturers and the green agenda has gone out of the window. If you dont have any spare disposable income, savings, a possible inheritance, or you work for public services, minimum wage or low wages you will be no better, or worse off BUT remember we are all in this together If you can afford a pint enjoy the brief tax cut of 1p a pint.
