Here is the dilemma. Some say that the Bible is the standard of how we know truth and then disagree with each other about what the Bible clearly says. Some people say the Holy Spirit is the standard of how we know truth and then disagree with each other about what the Holy Spirit says. Some people say it is both the Bible and the Holy Spirit together that is the standard of how we know truth and still come to different conclusions of what the truth is. So my question is, what is the standard of how we know truth? I know this kind of honest question has made atheists but we cant shy away from honest questions. I understand and believe that truth is ultimately a person, Jesus. But I am talking about doctrinal truth, the theological concepts which effect our view of God and the world. Discuss.
