Here is the first video we have gotten back from Colin, who is using a pair of Oru Kayaks to conduct National Geographic Magazine research in Greece. From Colin: Kayaking around Aspronissi, a small, uninhabited island near Naxos in the Greek Cyclades. I headed out to the island in search of the Aegean Wall Lizard (Podarcis erhardii), the subject of my dissertation research at Yale University. This lizard looks and behaves very differently depending on its context; small island or large island; heavy human land-use or pristine habitat. Ive been catching lizards in lots of these different contexts to begin to understand these patterns. My Oru kayaks have brought my research assistants and I to remote islands to help us survey these lizards.
